Chief of Staff to the CTO

To help us achieve this mission we are looking for a Chief of Staff to the CTO.

In this role, you will operate as the right hand of the CTO, lead critical engineering programs, drive strategic alignment and communication across the 300+ person technology organization, and support our long term engineering strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a strong sense of culture and community within the organization - organizing hackathons, spearheading our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and helping build a world-class technology org and culture. Youll be a key member of the engineering leadership team, reporting to the CTO.

What Youll Do

* Act as a trusted advisor and operator for the CTO, who can fill in as necessary in meetings, synthesizing information and feedback for quick decision-making
* Translate strategic vision into action, with a focus on innovative thinking and pushing employees to try whats never been done before

* Move change forward as we transform our technology strategy, with effective communication and change management practices

* Work in conjunction with HR to help spearhead our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy, then work to execute the strategy across the org

* Partner with engineering leadership and our recruiting team to drive our technology hiring strategy and process

* Lead key initiatives around purpose, talent, decision making, priorities, community and communications to help our CTO nurture and scale our culture

* Build and maintain a culture of humility, execution excellence, collaboration, mentorship, and open feedback

Who You Are

* A strategic thinker, disciplined planner, and strong operator who has proven experience working closely with engineering leadership
* Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives and managing stakeholders

* A highly collaborative leader with a track record of building effective cross-functional teams and relationships

* Deep appreciation for the strategic importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in organizations

* An engaging communicator, who makes complex and nuanced topics accessible to the larger organization through relevant examples and storytelling

* World-class written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated capabilities in public speaking, leading meetings and workshops, and creating presentation materials

* Comfortable in working in high pressure, time-sensitive situations

* Exceptional project and program management abilities with a history of driving results on key initiatives across departments

* Strong understanding of technology requirements, challenges, and terminology

* Track-record for attracting, organizing and developing high performing, diverse teams
