Microsoft Services is looking for a Manufacturing Digital Transformation Lead / Managing Architect (DT Lead) who has a mix of strategy, industry, architecture, technology, people leadership and business acumen.
This role will need Manufacturing industry expertise, technology knowledge, experience with applying business-outcome based approaches to customer problems and the ability to lead teams of architects and digital advisors who help Microsoft enterprise customers achieve their most challenging business and organizational goals by leveraging their current and future investment in the Microsoft Platform.
Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end information technology is also a must. The DT Lead role is a key leader of the Digital Advisory Services and Account Aligned Solution Architecture team and an enabler for other Architects and Principal Consultants across the organization. DT Leads have a passion for the customer, the business and our people, which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
The DT Lead provides strategic technical direction aligned to the industry and leadership to Services organization and reports to the CTO of Services for Mfg., South, and Midwest. This role has a group of Digital Advisors reporting directly to the DT Lead.
The DT Lead provides cross-industry leadership to the team and organization on how to envision transforming our customers moving forward, partner and excite our clients on how we get there, and then help make a proposal to make it real.
The DT Lead will support the strategies of the Office of the US CTO which include defining and driving customer Digital Transformation strategies and solutions for US Services, growing the business by delivering digital transformation and technical presales services, ensuring high customer satisfaction by driving architecture governance and quality assurance for all phases of the solution lifecycle, and fostering the architect and technical communities to provide support and growth for our people.
The DT Lead will work closely with our Mfg. Services Sales Managers and the Mfg. General Manager and Team in supporting the Customer Strategy and Execution Plan. The DT Lead will work closely with the Mfg. CTO, US CTO, and the Global Domain CTOs to drive consistent implementations of technical strategies across US Services and within the Region.
The DT Lead will be responsible for achieving the goals of Digital Advisory business in the region by directing the Digital Advisors to deliver customer value through Digital Transformation projects leading to growth of Microsoft footprint across products and services. The DT Lead will also be influencing and coordinating the Digital Transformation plans, program, and execution with other regional, US and WW teams.
The DT Lead will be responsible for supporting large/strategic business opportunities in the Region, establishing and growing relationships with key CxOs in Regional accounts and directly engaging alongside the delivery teams in large/complex/strategic engagements. The individual will also review and provide feedback and guidance on technical approaches to opportunities and deals and will lead the Enterprise Presales initiative for the Region.
Required Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience with broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging Digital Solutions, and experience managing technology-enabled business change
* 5+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proven talent driving teams for performance, growth and delivery of customer satisfaction.
* Significant experience working with BDMs and/or for top technical and business consulting firms, including people management, business development, sales management, operations management, and driving delivery excellence.
* The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent analytical, problem solving, project and people management skills, and a demonstrated track record delivering complex projects to enterprise customers.
* Thought leader with executive presence, including ability to hold CXO and BDMs level discussions, and executive-level, exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
* Consistent record of delivering business value at an executive level, by bringing the benefits of technology to transform their business
* Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers
* Empathy, curiosity, and desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and drive for results
* Passion for technology, business, market trends and, specifically, the Customer
* Ability to become an advocate for Microsoft's vision and value proposition, and diverse offerings, by conceptualizing, planning and leading implementation/adoption of Microsoft technologies

* Excellent written & verbal communications, experience with persuading C-level audiences, and a desire to work in fast paced environment are also required.
