As a Senior Manager, Application Security, you will be responsible for developing the strategy, maturing and leading the Application Security program at Micron. As a manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of application security functions and supporting business processes to keep Micron workloads secure both on-prem and public clouds. In this role, you will lead a technical team of engineers by bringing together best practices for application security in line with Microns risk and business needs.

This position requires working closely with senior leadership globally, tackle issues proactively, identify new opportunities, provide advisory and drive initiatives through to completion. Strong verbal and written communications skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology to different levels of the organization.

Job Requirements

* 10+ years of engineering management experience leading productive, high functioning teams, at least 5 years in application security space.
* A track record of consistent delivery and driving innovation.
* Ability to adapt quickly, build in increments and iterate.
* Growth mindset and excellent prioritization skills.
* Possess application software expertise, requires exposure to application security methodologies and related application security tools.
* Ability to balance security with SDLC requirements, to provide transparent, secure solutions;
* Evaluation, selection, onboarding and management of AppSec vendors and consultants.
* Experience running a security organization in a large enterprise.

Technology, Tools, Platform

Secure coding, Threat modeling, Static analysis, Dynamic analysis, C, Java, Python, DHTML, XML, SQL, Secure SDLC, OWASP Top 10, Application architectures and frameworks, Docker and Kubernetes, RESTful APIs

Skills (Must have):

* Ability to collaborate with IT and the other business area teams to specify and architect application security controls;
* Lead the design, engineering and implementation of application security solutions in a scalable way for a worldwide enterprise.
* High-Level Knowledge of security concepts in the various security domains which include authentication, authorization, secure coding, data validation, security testing, attacks and countermeasures, cryptography, etc.
* Ability to prioritize work from multiple sources, including ad-hoc or quick tasks and large-scale project work
* Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
* Good understanding of application architectures and frameworks, Docker and Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, public Clouds AWS, Azure, GCP.
* Be able to participate in the financial process for budgets.
* Ensure that the potential impact of software development changes is well understood, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Security/Information Technology. Master's Degree Preferred.
