We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

Under the leadership of an advisor, the maintenance pipefitter will perform installation, modification, and repairs on process and utility piping systems in an industrial plant environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Performs layout, cuts, threads, bends, and installs pipe, valves and other system components by cutting necessary holes in walls, floors, or ceiling and fabricating necessary hangers as required for piping systems including water, air, steam, compressed gasses and process chemicals.

* Uses pipe threading machines and necessary hand tools to performance of work.

* Required to read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, layouts, piping diagrams, and specifications.

* Knows the various sizes and uses of the different kinds of pipe, tubing, fittings, joints and equipment for used to transport fluids, slurries, and gaseous services throughout the facility.

* Uses system knowledge to maintain and operate production piping systems and equipment to include, but not limited to pressure regulators, system control valves, pneumatic systems, temperature control units, hydraulic systems, steam traps and tracing, backflow preventers, and chemical processing equipment.

* Maintains daily time card and log and uses computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed daily.

* All work must be performed in compliance with company safety policies and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

Education Minimum Requirement:

* High School Diploma

* Four years field experience as part of qualified pipefitting or plumbing apprenticeship program or minimum four years' hands-on experience working in the field of plant mechanical maintenance on piping systems is required.

* Completion of a nationally recognized pipefitter apprenticeship program resulting in a journeyman card, or college/technical school degree in a pipefitting or plumbing related discipline is required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* Knowledge and experience with hydraulic, steam, compressed gas systems is highly desirable.
