Director, Financial Planning Analytics - Part Time

Overview:

Financial Planning Analytics Director will be responsible for the analysis of integrated Macys Inc. financial plans in collaboration with the broader corporate planning teams. This role will also be accountable for the preparation of targeted regular management reports, execution of relevant analyses to inform management and board presentations, including the articulation value and communicate risks and opportunities. The colleague is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary.

Essential Functions:

* Assist with painting the big picture of the Macys Inc. financial and operational performance from review of financials (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flows) and translate the so what to identify risks, opportunities & recommended actions for both the long-range plan and seasonal plans.
* Help lead the strategic and corporate business planning and ROF processes and leverage models to project financial performance.
* Build data analytics tools and capabilities to inform internal and external benchmarking.
* Improve data management to ensure integrity and single source of truth, including ownership of consolidated corporate model.
* Create impactful presentations to communicate with stakeholders
* Generate insights and advise on corrective actions; build and monitor action plans.
* Generate standard management reports and provide commentary and insights as needed.
* Identify areas of continuous improvement as well as efficient tools and procedures to drive consistency across channels.
* Improve KPI management to ensure the business is tracking to targets.
* Ensure alignment and connectivity with the companys goals.
* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

* Bachelors Degree in a related field.

* 8+ years of relevant experience.

Communication Skills:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

* Must have excellent mathematical skills.

* Ability to apply concepts of profitability and statistical inference, algebra and geometry to practical situations.

* Ability to calculate interest, discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability:

* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

* This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.

* May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

* Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
