Central Carolina Hospital

The Registered Nurse Dialysis provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. They will meet the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. They will also communicate effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patients condition or response to treatment.

Duties will also include:

1. Complete a focused patient assessment with reassessments based on patients condition, procedures, medications given and treatments.
2. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
3. Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.
4. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patients clinical condition. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
5. Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.

Job Requirements

Require Required Education:

Associates degree is required

Bachelors degree is preferred

Required License:

Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)

Required Certification:

American Heart Association BLS is required

Additional certifications as required by department

Other:

1 year of experience in a health care setting is preferred
