Position Summary:
This position is responsible to collect and obtain specimens for both outpatients and inpatients, then submit them to facility laboratory for processing. The phlebotomist may also be expected to travel to local long-term care facilities and physician offices to complete blood draws, specimen pick-ups, and drop off needed supplies.
Duties included, but are not limited to the following:
-Able to perform phlebotomy and blood gases for all age groups.
-Able to perform EKG's and recognize and alert respiratory therapy of abnormal or unusual tracings.
-Collection of swabs for flu and viral testing.
-Correctly orders/registers patients in laboratory and hospital system.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant with office skills.
2. If asked to perform duties of a Courier, must have an active valid PA Drivers License that is in good standing.
3. Exceptional customer service skills required.
4. Must be an excellent team player.
5. Must have a positive attitude toward the public and co-workers.
