This position requires some regular days in plant. Relocation to Salt Lake City, UT will be considered on an as needed basis.

Job Description:

The Senior Specialist, Program Management (PM4) directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Is responsible the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from Engineering, Operations and other L3Harris functional organizations.

* Demonstrates strong negotiation skills, with ability to work toward win-win solutions.
* Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices within L3Harris.
* Gains and maintains high trust and confidence with government customers and stakeholders L3Harris functional organizations.
* Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to program team and other employees.
* Responsible for managing complex projects involving delegation of work and review of work products.
* Requires skill in problem solving and innovation.
* Requires comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation skills to understand problems.
* Requires ability to consider multiple issues, multiple disciplines and/or specialties to resolve challenges and issues.
* U.S. citizenship is required

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in a Technical/ Engineering discipline AND 6 years of prior relevant experience in the Defense, Aerospace, or similar DoD industry.
* 4 years professional experience with similar Program Management responsibilities
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Experience/understanding of digital communication systems is preferred
* Experience with earned value program management and risk management is preferred.
* Graduate Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience is preferred.
* SECRET clearance or higher is preferred
