Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Principal Contract Administrator to join our growing team of diverse professionals on-site in McLean, Virginia. The qualified applicant will support Federal, State, and Local contracts in the Citizen Solutions (CS) Operating Unit (OU). Partial telework allowance will be accommodated.
Responsibilities:
* Administers, extends, negotiates and initiates close out activities for standard and nonstandard contracts and other agreements with the customers
* Advises management of contractual rights and obligations, compiling and analyzing data, and maintaining historical information
* Responds to data calls
* Negotiates and administers other agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements, with Northrop Grumman bidding as prime, and/or subcontractor
* Conducts proposal preparation including examination of RFP solicitation requirements and analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risks to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, and proposal submission
* Daily interaction with customers and internal business partners
Qualification
Basic Qualifications for:
* Must have one of the following:
* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of contracts or subcontracts experience
* Bachelor rsquo;s degree with a minimum of 6 years of contracts or subcontracts experience
* Master rsquo;s degree with a minimum of 4 years of contracts or subcontracts experience
* Fluency with state and local government contracting practices
* Strong knowledge of pre and post-award government contracting best practices, techniques, and standards
* Experience with various contract types including CPFF, CPAF, FFP, and T amp;M
* Must be able to work on-site in McLean, Virginia (partial telework allowance will be accommodated)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
* Experience advising management and project teams of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretations of terms and conditions at the proposal stage, and post-award
* Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
* Experience creating and delivering presentations to stakeholders and leadership
* Excellent organization and communication skills
* Works under only very general supervision
* Team player that works well in a collaborative environment, timely execution of assigned tasks
* Fluency with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
* Experience with various types of agrements, including IDIQs and GSA schedules
