Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer Manager 3, based out of Schreiver AFB, CO.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering organization of almost 200 engineers, with numerous program and task order stakeholders. Our engineers supporting the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) are colocated with our Missile Defense Agency stakeholders and customers, so this role may include significant customer facing responsiblity. This leader has primary responsbility for the recruiting, professional development, engagement, and retention of the engineering staff. The department systems engineering manager will ensure broad process rigor, and process consistency, as well as lead proposal development activities for engineering change proposals (ECPs) and Task Order (TO) requests for proposal.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and systems analysis. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s STEM degree from an accredited colleg, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master rsquo;s degree.
* Demonstrated success leading organizations of 50 or more people
* Demonstrated success in customer facing relationships
* Ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance
* Position requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with software engineering development
* Experience with modeling and simulation
* Experience with the Missile Defense Agency and with one or more elements of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)
* Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
* Current active Top Secret clearance
* Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and Model-based Engineering (MBE)
* Experience with proposal development and cost volume basis of estimates (BOEs)
