Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Director, Program Management 2 to lead the Booster Integration of our Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program within the Launch Vehicles business unit . This position may be located in Roy, Utah or Chandler, AZ.
This position is responsible for $200-300 million in annual sales and a cross-functional team of 250 people. He/she will be responsible for overall program management and ensuring all operational and financial objectives are met.
The Director will provide the leadership, management, and vision to ensure performance on current programs, robust execution of development programs and capture of future program opportunities. Working with the Launch Vehicles Business Unit Leadership Team, the position will direct strategic and operational initiatives to effectively grow the business and ensure continued financial strength and operating efficiency. The Director must possess the leadership skills to inspire others through integrity, trust, conviction, respect, and the ability to articulate strategy and lead operations. Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 15 years of related experience with tenure in a comparable management position leading multi-disciplined organizations that have diverse high visibility programs and products of similar complexity.
A Bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline, with an MBA desirable
Active Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite is required
Ability to Travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad program management and leadership experience over the traditional functional areas.
Excellent communication skills and proven capability to interact effectively with Sr. Leadership, customers, and government agencies.
A demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing management responsibility and will be exceptional in leading engineering, manufacturing, program management, business operations and mission assurance teams.
Program management track record over multiple medium- to large-scale systems simultaneously, with the proven ability to deliver the systems on-time and on-budget while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards
Demonstrated communications and mentoring skills to lead highly successful technical teams that are addressing large and complex programmatic challenges
Disciplined cost management experience gained from delivering results on fixed price and cost plus contracts.
Experience with booster and solid rocket motor programs
Additional Information:
Position may be located in Arizona or Utah. Either way, candidate must be willing to travel between the locations to support collaboration efforts.
