Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Security Coordinator level 3 at our Palmdale, CA location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control. Collects and submits electronic fingerprints, handprints and optical reading into systems. Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas. Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances. Maintains controlled security documents and information. Conducts briefings and assist with security training.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 4 years of Security or Administrative experience
* Candidate must have and be able to maintain an Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within the last 6 years
* Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of the NISPOM and JPAS/DISS
* Knowledgeable and ability to provide general security guidance
* Excellent customer service, written and communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers across organization
* Ability to work with limited supervision and follow projects through to completion
* Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
