The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's highly successful Data Center Hosting Support and Services Team using modern hardware and software in support of a 7x24 Data Center Customer contract with rotating after hours On Call Support duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Install and Maintain Mainframe Third Party Software
Install and Maintain Mainframe IBM Software
Perform System Upgrades and Changes
Resolve System Software Problems
Adherence to All Customer Contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or 7 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
Understanding of a mainframe environment
Ability to understand or follow software documentation and procedures
Willingness to learn new skills such as SMP/E
some experience in analyzing and solving mainframe system software problems
Some experience with mainframe system backup and recovery
Ability to multi-task across different projects
Self-motivated, highly committed, ability to work under general supervision, perform well within cross-functional teams, work under deadlines with attention to detail, contribute to team efforts in major projects
Motivated self-starter with a Can Do attitude and an ability to deliver high customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with TSO, JES2, z/OS R2V4 or higher and IBM utilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office software use
State Government customer hosting or data center project experience
Mainframe support and services delivery on a firm fixed price (FFP), service level requirements penalty bearing contract
Data Center mainframe outsourcing support and services
Excellent customer relationship skills
Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing experience is a plus
