Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to add managerial leadership roles to its Integrated

Functional Capability team located in Roy, UT in support of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Forces sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

The candidate for this management position will be expected to lead the EEE/NH amp;S Qualification Test

Program engineering team. This position requires skills in coordination of hundreds of tests and testing

facilities external and internal to NGC. Knowledge and experience with leading technical teams over a

broad range of tasks including design, evaluation, test, reporting and scheduling is required. The

successful candidate must have the ability to lead teams in a fluid environment that requires teamwork

with our Customer, NGC teams and suppliers to meet program objectives. A high degree of skill in

critical decision making is imperative to perform in this environment. A working knowledge of ground

based deterrence systems is desirable.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-

hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 7 years. 5 years with a MS. 3 years with a PhD
* Active DoD Top Secret Clearance investigated within the last 6 years
* 1 year of previous project management experience for technical, cost, and schedule milestones
* 1 year of previous systems engineering experience
* 1 year of experience managing development efforts for complex systems
* 1 year of experience in compliance to requirements processes for components and sub-systems

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in ground based deterrence systems
* Experience with managing/scheduling facilities and equipment
* Prior experience leading 10+ person teams
* Previous experience managing employee performance and professional development
* Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior
* management, peers, and employees
