Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is an industry-leading provider for launch systems capabilities serving national security, military, civil and commercial customers. The Mission Engineering and Operations Organization in SSSD has an immediate need for a deputy IPT lead in support of a restricted Operation and Management (O amp;M) contract. The deputy will assist managing a roughly 20 person team, working closely with other IPTs and the Program Office within the program. The candidate must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.

Duties include:

- Collaborating with team on tasking to ensure efficient operations
- Coordinating tasking priorities between customer and OPS product line lead
- Coordination and interfacing with other program IPTs
- Communicating with Program Office on priorities, resources and activities
- IPT level risk management
- Off hours support will be required periodically
- Possibility of travel to support offsite meetings (Not mandatory)
Available positions require that the candidate have a strong understanding of one or more of the skills described. Project roles span all phases from new business acquisition, and IRAD/ technology development to established programs.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 14+ years of engineering experience OR Masters Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience

- Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI and/or active SCI

- Minimum of 3+ year experience as an Assignment Manager

- Minimum of 3+ years experience leading a team of at least 10+ employees

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience briefing customers
- Master's Degree in Engineering

- Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft systems

- Strong people and technical leadership skills

- Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration

- Experience using DOORS, Cameo

- Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering
