The GBSD program has exciting opportunities for a Staff Civil Engineer based in Roy, Utah to develop engineering concepts for both design and construction to include, but not limited to, grading, storm water management, utilities, roadways, parking lots, construction materials and basic structures. Review and comment on construction drawings, specifications, Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawings and submittals, concrete mix designs, logistics support, construction scheduling, safety programs, NEPA, and contractor claims. Prepare material quantities, cost estimates, construction schedules and permit applications. Identifies measures for cost control, cost reduction, schedule, and production.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering with 14 years of experience in DoD or other government agency construction contracts
10 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
The ability to initiate, develop, integrate, execute, direct and control program plans and cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.
The ability to identify, select, direct and manage subcontract and supply chain elements of the program in a manner that supports program goals and company strategy.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs or projects, or Masters and 10 years experience supporting U.S. Government ICBM programs and projects
Thorough knowledge of ICBM Missile Wing security processes for Launch Facilities, Missile Alert Facilities as well as other Air Force installations
DoD Secret or Interim Top Secret Clearance required to start
Professional Engineer Registration (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
