Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Database Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman 39;s US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Administration, and Information Technology Services Division of the Executive Office (A/EX/ITS rsquo;s) team. This is a contract to provide the US Department of State with highly-skilled and qualified personnel to provide high quality, ldquo;state of the art rdquo; application development activities to be performed in support of A/EX/ITS systems and applications, leveraging an integrated and scalable framework to meet ITS rsquo;s vision and requirements, leveraging Agile/SCRUM or a hybrid development methodology supported by a DevOps framework.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:

* Defines, designs, and/or develops relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data.
* Reviews current data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted.
* Models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications.
* Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications.
* May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* BA/BS degree and nine years of professional experience or a high school diploma and thirteen year of professional experience
* Demonstrated professional experience and proficiency in Azure DevOps
* Must have experience defining, designing and developing relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data.
* Experience in providing operational and technical support for security assessments
* Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret Clearance

* Ability to manage dynamic deadlines and adaptability to shifting priorities
* Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with clients
* Attention to detail and maintaining proactive communication
* Ability to critically review feature requests and make alternate proposals as needed
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting ServiceNow or Azure implementation
* Top Secret security clearance
