Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Transmission Integration who will be responsible for integration of transmissions with all product platforms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Work with suppliers on integration of software and calibration changes to ensure vehicle level system requirements are met.
* Manage transmission software and calibration updates for engineering vehicle fleet, including flashing of software at vehicle location and directing software updates as needed.
* Support vehicle programs with any necessary transmission software related integration work.
* Document software change impact on vehicle related requirements including Features, performance, CAN communication, Fault code messaging, etc., and define required validation.
* Support the generation of SW documentation such as vehicle system level requirements, DVP&R's, DFMEA's, and support of 8D, PYXIS and test reports.
* Work with manufacturing on implementation of SW changes and timely resolution of issues that may arise during production programming.
* May be responsible for some design and release related work in Nx and CDMS environment.
Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 8 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
* Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 6 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities
OR
* PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* At least 3 years of experience in product design/development
* At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

Desired Skills
* Background in transmissions, integration, and exposure to transmission software and calibration
* Basic understanding of J1939 CAN messaging and use of relevant programs for data analysis
