Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health is recruiting for a Global Medical Affairs Leader (GMAL), Tuberculosis to be based remotely in the United States or Europe.
Job Description:
The Global Medical Affairs Leader (GMAL) for Tuberculosis (TB) and mycobacterial infections will provide medical and strategic leadership within Global Public Health (GPH) from pre-launch through the lifecycle of assigned products. He/she will develop medical and public health perspectives, strategies, and will own the execution of medical plans in partnership with global, regional and country medical teams. As an integral member of the TB Access Strategy and Impact Team and of the Compound Development Team, the GMAL will represent the medical and public health voice on these teams to ensure optimization of Clinical-Access interface so that clinical development approaches address expected patient and public health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop medical affairs strategies and plans based on priority GPH needs in collaboration with business partners across Janssen and across Johnson & Johnson
* Engage with appropriate team(s) to ensure that medical and public health strategies needs are incorporated into product develop from early development (phase 2a) and beyond
* Provides insights into and lead activities related to the planning, execution, and publication and dissemination of data from global registrational and non-registrational studies
* Responsible for scientific engagement activities such as advisory boards, symposia and congress activities, and lead thought-leader communications and speaker development for assigned products
* Develop and participate in the review of presentation materials for studies, advisory boards, investigator meetings, protocol training meetings as the need arises, and act as contact point for assigned medical affairs-led studies
* Provide ongoing review of assigned clinical study data, final analysis, and interpretation, in collaboration with the relevant global teams
* Responsible to ensuring that all activities follow J&J; Compliance and Credo principles
Qualifications
Education:
* M.D. is required; experience and or/specialty training in infectious diseases or public health preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* A minimum of 5 years of combined relevant experience in a medical/clinical environment and/or scientific function in the pharmaceutical industry is required, preferable in an R&D; and/or medical affairs function
* A consistent track record leading highly matrixed, cross-functional work environments is required
* Champion high standards of compliance, ethics, and patient safety, and putting patients at the center of all actions
Preferred:
* Clinical experience in TB or other mycobacterial infections
* Proven track record to partner cross- culturally/regionally
* Understanding of clinical research methodology, study data reviews and analysis
* Ability to navigate a complex and evolving environment and effectively resolve issues
* Experience developing and maintaining relationships with thought or opinion leaders
