This position may be located in Moline, or Olathe per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

This position may be eligible for remote work. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and can remain subject to change and up to the hiring managers discretion.

Your Responsibilities:

As an Instructional Designer/Developer for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will design, develop, and deliver training and performance support materials to increase dealer capabilities. In addition, you will:

* Perform needs assessments and effectively design, develop, and deliver training objectives, outcomes, and measurements for Dealer-facing applications and initiatives

* Determine and develop the appropriate method and media of the training using sound instructional design and adult learning principles
* Create and implement a short term/long term training plan by working with various stakeholders in supporting Dealer-facing products, processes, and solutions
* Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various product teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
* Identify and implement new technology-based training solutions
* Modify content, delivery, or environment based on evaluation feedback
* Maintain content, deliver, or environment based on continuous product updates/releases

What Skills You Need:

* 1 or more years of experience delivering training to Dealers or employees
* 2 or more years of experience identifying stakeholder needs, writing objectives, and performing task analysis
* 2 or more years of experience developing training materials to include web-based training modules, videos, and online web instructional training
* 5 or more years experience working with cross-functional teams and adjusting working style to achieve desired outcomes

What Makes You Stand Out:

* Delivering instructor-led training both onsite and via distance learning classroom
* Experience applying instructional design techniques and processes
* Knowledge of Dealer business practices, ideally including the practices followed at John Deere dealerships
* Knowledge and understanding of dealer facing systems, ideally including the systems used at John Deere
* Experience assessing training needs, writing objectives, and storyboarding
* Knowledge and experience creating training material using Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Premier, After-Effects, Audition), Articulate Suite, AuthorIT, and other audio, video, and distance learning course software

Education:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Instructional Design, Instructional Technology
