We are seeking a confident Architect to join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. Someone who can use their knowledge of Architecture and apply your skills to today's challenges. As a seasoned professional, you will have the chance to mentor, learn, and work independently as a key team member.
You'll provide architectural leadership for design of predominantly industrial focused facilities for municipal and federal clients working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team. You'll provide support for schematic design, design development, construction document phase, and construction phase activities. You'll also participate in the architectural design process and help develop collaborative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to the client. Using your experience, you'll determine design criteria using International Codes (with State and Local Amendments applicable to project), ADA, NFPA & OSHA. Delivering design solutions using multiple contract mechanisms including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Design-Build-Operate will also be part of your responsibilities. In addition, you'll use your knowledge of sustainable design practices, LEED rating system(s) and Guiding Principals in support of project design requirements as well as business development and sales.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an architecturally accredited university
Professional Registered Architect (RA)
7 years minimum of architectural practice experience
Experience in preparation of preliminary design documents and contract documents (including building code analysis, construction drawings and specifications)
Experience administering Construction Management including review of contractor submittals, RFI's and working through construction challenges
Basic 2D computer graphic skills (MicroStation, AutoCAD or Revit)
Proficient in using Microsoft software tools such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
Willingness to travel for project assignments
Experience and willingness to direct the work of design staff and to mentor intern architects
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Experience in the design of industrial facilities for municipal and federal clients
LEED Accredited Professional credentials
Current registration in the State of California
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certification
