Job description
Copy Writer, Editor, and Clinical Interpretation US_UK_Bulgaria
IQVIA is seeking a writer and editor with clinical expertise to join our team creating immersive & engaging clinical training tools and experiences
Who We Are
The Global Events Team at IQVIA creates experiences and training tools that are effective and unexpected. We incorporate the latest research on adult learning principles and behavioral science to design and deliver human-centered, customized knowledge exchanges that accelerate change in clinical practice.
Our purpose is centered around a desire to improve healthcare using methods rooted in our evolving understanding of clinical needs and human behavior. We are motivated by a mission to ensure our friends and families can take a walk in the woods, get on a plane and go somewhere new, listen to music, snuggle a baby, try a new restaurant, and live life to the fullest.
Our team is a tight-knit, collaborative, and intellectually curious group of people with a unique blend of backgrounds and experience. We are continually pushing each other to improve our solutions and are in search of a talented writer and editor to help shape the written expression of our work.
About our Editors
Work alongside our Training and Solutions Architects, Medical and Behavioral Strategists (MBS), Medical Writers, Proofing and Formatting Team, and Creative Designers, contributing written and editorial expertise to create effective and immersive experiences for clinical training and engagement.
Well look to this role for their copy writing and editorial expertise. Well also need their support to help interpret clinical and regulatory documents for other members of the team to create accurate tools.
Help champion solutions from concept to execution. Interface directly with MBS and physician leads as necessary to interpret the clinical need. Then, create a bridge between this need and our creative solutions by providing written copy for design assets.
Edit figures, legends, tables, written medical content, and creative design assets as needed.
Help assess our experiences post event to gather and document insights. Look to continually refine content for deeper efficacy and engagement.
This position is home-based with frequent virtual meetings and collaboration with a globally-distributed team at IQVIA and with our clients.
Who You Are
Seasoned:
You have pharmaceutical or medical copy writing experience where you have created written content to explain complex medical concepts. You are also comfortable summarizing complex medical concepts in laymans terms.
You have demonstrated great attention to detail with proven editing skills, catching proofreading, formatting, and contextual errors in medical documents. BELS certification (US) is not required but medical editing experience is a must. Managerial experience is also a plus.
Empathetic:
You can empathize with individuals including a diverse global audience of physicians and care teams who are passionate about exploring new treatments for patients and improving the health of their communities. Some of the written content you will create is about the patient journey. You enjoy an opportunity to research global cultures and bring patient stories and clinic scenarios to life in the many regions where our trainings are held.
Resourceful:
You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions.
