The Controls Engineer implements electrical and control projects for an integrated system or sub-system. Controls Engineer provides planning, reporting and management of the controls portions of material handling systems for an integrated system or subsystem, in addition to technical implementation. The Controls Engineer works with the controls project elements and executes individual tasks throughout the project life cycle by coordinating and forecasting controls resources in-house and on site. The Controls Engineer takes a systems approach in understanding core design features, project elements, overall electrical and controls architecture.

YOU MUST HAVE

* Current pursuing a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline in an accredited College or University
* Must be able to participate in a co-op prior to completing current degree program

WE VALUE

* Knowledge of different material handling systems, including knowledge of controls hardware a plus, but not required
Familiar with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar) a plus, but not required
* Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
* Effective communicator
* Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
* Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
* Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
