Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a developer to join our quantum computing software efforts alongside the Applications Research Team. Were a collaborative, fast moving team, looking for a someone with strong knowledge of software engineering and architecture. This person should be comfortable working at the intersection of research and implementation. The first part of the role is architecting and implementing robust and well-documented software solutions in Qiskit out of the latest applications developed by the team.
The second part of the role is to work with clients and partners in ramping-up in QC, on our Software and latest systems.
Knowledge exchange, conference attendance, and experimenting with new technology is very encouraged. We work mainly in python and use all the latest tools and concepts.

This position can be located in they NYC area or Yorktown Heights, NY.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Bachelor, Masters or PhD in Physics, Math, Computer Science, or related fields, with a focus on quantum computation, quantum information, or quantum physics

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

* 2 plus years experience using Python
* Software development experience

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Experience using git and GitHub
* Exposure to the Qiskit quantum programming stack or open-source quantum software
* Familiarity with multiprocessing tools
* C++ a bonus
* Foundational knowledge in Quantum Computing
* Background in algorithms
* Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders
