Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced business professional to perform the role of Global Credit System (GCS) Business Analyst in IBM Credit. This person needs to have excellent relationship capabilities and apply deep business and technical knowledge to understand the Credit process requirements. The ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications while working with multiple business & technical teams on solution design, testing and delivery is a cornerstone of this role. The Credit systems and operations team aim to disrupt how Credit is performed in IBM by leveraging IBM innovative technologies such as Cloud and Cognitive Analytics. This role provides the opportunity to help drive change by diving into business problems, formulating and testing hypothesis using quantitative analysis and delivering insights that drive business impact. You are passionate about using data to solve business problems. You are a creative thinker and an influential leader trusted to provide actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities
Engage with Operations and global Credit teams to capture system requirements that solve or anticipate business needs
Work with Business Process Owner to constantly push for system innovation and process improvement using the latest IBM Cognitive and AI technologies
Operating as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis and machine learning for modeling.
Coordinate efforts with the development team on Credit system and process needs and collaboration on product development
Support GCS Squad on Epic and Story Creation
Support Teams on testing activities
Support Manager on executive demands including ad-hoc query and reporting needs -

Carry out research and requirements collection to understand the Credit process flow; Develop user cases, requirements specifications, document user guides; Develop test cases and manage test cycles; Apply Agile based requirements gathering; Serve as the conduit between the Credit community and the development team through which requirements flow; Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision; Interview the credit employees, management team and other stakeholders; Prepare business proposals and presentations; Run focus groups and facilitate workshops; Identify issues and form hypotheses and solutions; present findings and recommendations to management; implement recommendations/solutions and ensure success by providing the necessary assistance to carry it all out.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* You have a MS Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM Fields and/or you have 5+ years of relevant work experience.
* Experience in big data architecture - experience designing and developing logical data models or knowledge of cognitive computing
* You have knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistical modeling.
* Previous experience with SQL QMF query building
* You have familiarity with machine learning, prescriptive or predictive modeling.
* You have hands-on experience deploying analytical models to solve business problems
* You have demonstrated leadership and self-direction, and willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques
* You have effective written and verbal communication skills
* You thrive in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* More than 5 years of working experience, at least 3 years in AI, Big Data and/or Cognitive development Preferred
* Expertise in Advanced Analytics technologies & solutions (incl. AI)
* You have experience with Python, R or another programming language or software.
* You have professional experience in statistics, machine learning, and deep learning
* You have a deep understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry
