Work Hours/Shift:
PRN (Per Request Needed), Day Shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Discusses health questionnaire with client prior to performing massage therapy
* Charts each client visit, listing complaints, actions, specific muscles addressed, muscle response, comments.
* Performs massage therapy on clients and patients
* Identifies specific muscular areas in need of attention
* Performs a variety of massage techniques to address problem areas
* Requests feedback from clients regarding comfort, pressure, changes, and effectiveness
* Creates a trusting and accepting atmosphere
* Completes paperwork for insurance or department information
* Provides chair massage and presentations
* Maintains and organizes massage rooms and supplies
* Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the client or patient, which may include:
* Birth-28 days: Neonate
* 1-18 Months: Infant
* 18 Mo-3 Yrs.: Toddler
* 3-6 Yrs.: Pre-School Aged
* 6-12 Yrs.: School-Aged
* 12-18 Yrs.: Adolescents
* 18-65 Yrs.: Adults
* *65+ Yrs.: Geriatrics
* Collects, analyzes, interprets and applies age-specific data.
* Performs tasks/procedures, uses equipment in an age appropriate manner.
* Communicates and works with others in an appropriate manner.
* Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
* Attends required safety programs.
* Appropriately and consistently uses the personal protective equipment required of the job.
* Knows and can demonstrate departmental emergency procedures for fire, disaster and other emergency situations.
* Reports and removes unsafe equipment/furniture.
* Asks for assistance when needed to assure safety for all involved.
* Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
* Demonstrates interest in improving wellness and fitness of clients.
* Promotes Center for Health and Wellness internally and externally.
* Remains current in industry standards.
* Provides reporting and signage on faulty equipment, and other requested functions that support a clean and safe facility.
* Must be flexible to meet priorities and handle multiple tasks.
* Must display and attitude of enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle in all interactions.
* Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with members, patients, physicians, hospital staff, and the community.
* Exhibit respectful demeanor and tact at all times particularly when confronted with challenging situations or clients.
* Must have professional discretion and confidentiality with information, excellent communication skills, ability to work well under stress and with minimum supervision.
* Flexibility regarding work schedule which will include day, evening, and possible weekend rotations as needed.
* Attend all required safety and education programs and adheres to safety, infection control, and employee health policies and procedures; and appropriately and consistently uses PPE as required.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* Licensed Massage Therapist through the state of Florida Mandatory Licensure.
* BLS.
* Minimum of 500 hours of Massage Therapy education from an approved school.
* Preferred experience in a medical office or hospital
* Preferred experience of at least two years working with diverse groups of people, ages, and medical conditions
Job Summary:
Provides massage therapy services in the Center for Health and Wellness for employee and community members or patients. Adheres to AdventHealths performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of AdventHealth Daytona Beach.
