Quantitative Researcher (Health Impact)

Job Description

The Health Team is looking for our next Quantitative Researcher. Our vision is to improve global health outcomes in areas where Facebook can have unique and significant impact. Our next researcher will help us identify new opportunities, drive strategy and help our existing products succeed in new markets. The ideal candidate will have a background in public health (or a related field) and be passionate about developing new products. International travel is likely several times a year.

Quantitative Researcher (Health Impact) Responsibilities

* Work closely with teams to identify research topics

* Design studies that explore unmet needs as well as current behavior and attitudes

* Generate insights to fuel ideation, evaluate designs and guide product roadmaps

* Conduct research using a variety of quantitative methods

* Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing

* Communicate results and illustrate suggestions to various audiences

Minimum Qualifications

* MS/PhD in Public Health, Psychology, Epidemiology, Immunology, or similar health-related field

* Experience taking observational data and using models to try to show causal impact of FB products on health outcomes

* 5+ years of experience in applied product research

* Experience communicating analysis and results to various audiences

* Experience with measurement (surveys), interviewing, statistical analysis, managing vendors, and leading strategic initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

* International research experience

* Experience in startups (or 01 initiatives at larger companies)
