Facebook is seeking an operations Data Center Site Manager to establish, lead and scale one of our data center locations. Our data centers, and the tens of thousands of servers installed in them, are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Data Center Site Manager Responsibilities

* Establishing and managing a Data Center Operations Team responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance and operation of server hardware and supporting infrastructure at scale

* Responsible for delivery of Facebooks products and services from the data center site, and for ensuring operational delivery through collaboration and partnership with both remote and local peer organizations

* Lead local Community Relations on behalf of the data center site in collaboration with the Community Development Team

* Work with peer organizations and regional teams that affect and deliver services to data center operations such as network operations, project management, facilities/maintenance management, logistics and supply chain operations in order to successfully deliver and maintain data center capacity to support ongoing business growth

* Mentoring and developing managers and leads such that they can run daily operations with minimal supervision

* Build and lead a diverse, world-class data center operations team, developing both the technical capabilities and leadership qualities of individual contributors and managers

* Assisting and supporting the Data Center Site Strategy, Design and Construction Teams, as necessary with the development of the project site, from groundbreaking through construction and hand-off to the Operations teams

* Collaborating with other Data Center Site Managers in data center sites around the globe to evolve and optimize processes and approaches in a globally consistent way to allow Facebook to scale and grow effectively

* Finding creative ways to keep operating costs to a minimum including the development and management of budgets and business compliance

* Create and drive a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and safety

* Support and contribute thought leadership to the development and implementation of business practices which support the growth and ongoing management of our global data center IT footprint

* Ability to travel up to 30%

Minimum Qualifications

* 10+ years experience of management of technology operations in critical environments

* Experience working in a bleeding edge, technical, hands-on environment and leveraging technology to manage and grow environments

* Experience in personnel management, organizational leadership, people development and team growth

* Experience in influencing and leading a diverse group of people, partners suppliers across multiple disciplines

* Knowledge of data center power, cooling, network, structured cabling, server and storage infrastructure

* Leadership experience making decisions with minimal direction and prioritizing across multiple competing demands

* Communication and collaboration experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience communicating internally across disciplines and organizations at all levels within Facebook and externally at public events to public representatives and the press
