Permissions Program Manager - GMS Process and Risk Team

The Process and Risk team is responsible for driving productivity gains and mitigating risk through process improvements for the Global Marketing Solutions (GMS) organization. Were obsessed with finding the most efficient ways to perform tasks while also protecting our business. Its our job to make the lives of the Sales and Marketing teams easier by both streamlining their workflows and closing potential gaps in our processes and tools. Were seeking an experienced program manager to own permissions management across GMS. In this role, youll have the opportunity to lead Facebooks approach to ensuring that every person in GMS has the right level of access to tools and data to do their job, while protecting against inappropriate access to sensitive data and actions. Youll work with cross-functional partners across many different teams in the GMS org (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Operations) and across Facebook (e.g. Information Security, Legal, Privacy, IT/Engineering) to help balance efforts to minimize risk with enabling our sales teams. This role will primarily be focused on auditing and segmenting existing permissions by role, setting the strategy to streamline access for those roles, policy creation and expansion, implementing and iterating on a scaled access management process, partnering with development teams to represent the business as a scaled security framework is enhanced, and helping educate teams on the right way to approach tool and data security. Were looking for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems through technical and analytical excellence, synthesizing disparate pieces of information into concrete policy recommendations, and project managing multiple streams of work. The ideal candidate is passionate about risk mitigation and change management, has a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo, and a strong desire for constant innovation.

Permissions Program Manager - GMS Process and Risk Team Responsibilities

* Own the strategy for GMS internal data access program management and lead permissions-related projects from inception to implementation

* Lead access management policy implementation and help internal teams interpret policy implications on real-world scenarios

* Investigate current risks associated with tools and processes by partnering with internal teams to understand sales and marketing needs and specific use cases

* Carry out data quality assessments, including data profiling, the establishment of data access rules, metadata and source information, and ensuring incorporation across internal tools and workflows

* Establish issue management and resolution processes, build consensus around key data issues and actions required to address them, and develop action plans and timelines to complete remediation

* Set the vision for long term access management program evolution to support Facebooks global data protection and security obligations

* Develop recommendations for moving to the ideal end-state process for permissions management and present proposals to key stakeholders and leadership for buy-in

* Educate internal business stakeholders on existing policies and access management best practices

* Measure the performance of newly implemented permissions management workflows and iterate on the process for continual refinement

* Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Facebook to identify opportunities for future permissioning projects

Minimum Qualifications

* 7+ years of program management or risk mitigation experience

* Proven experience driving complex cross-functional projects to completion

* Experience working in roles related to expansive permissions management, data governance, risk/fraud-prevention, and/or scaled operations

* Demonstrated problem solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from multiple input sources (e.g. data sets, interview feedback, process flow documents, etc.)

* Experience presenting complex policy related content to general audiences

* Experience focusing on operational excellence and flawless execution of project plans

* Expertise in change management techniques

* Proven experience growing within a role: curious, adaptable, loves learning and growth, and experience pivoting

* Communication skills, including the experience facilitating meetings and presenting to senior business executives

Preferred Qualifications

* BS/MS degree

* Knowledge of data management, data model and data governance principles

* Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment

* Experience foreseeing implications of different courses of actions when making decisions and mitigate against any potential risks

* Experience prioritizing for impact across many competing priorities

* Background in data architecture and its implementation in large environments

* Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing order to chaos

* Strong relationship management skills
