Our Legal Technology Solutions team (LTS) is a team that is passionate about working with cross-functional teams to improve their operational efficiency through the development of tooling and infrastructure. We are seeking an enthusiastic engineer that is passionate about the intersection of software engineering, trust & safety, compliance, and legal issues. This person will be responsible for engaging a multitude of stakeholders in and outside of Facebooks Legal department, to formulate and drive the execution of cutting-edge technical solutions to an array of emerging problems.

Support Engineer Responsibilities

* Help devise, create, and implement tooling and policies across the legal organization

* Investigate and implement solutions using various languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, React and SQL

* Drive scale and automation through technology

* Customize, maintain, and expand existing internal software solutions for a diverse set of operational teams

* Experiment with emerging Facebook technologies to develop future solutions

* Maintain systems for receiving, triaging and responding to technically oriented requests with tight, often life-impacting, timelines

* Create and scale new data pipelines into existing frameworks to ensure that data arrives to the appropriate users reliably and quickly

* Work closely with frontline analysts to understand processing and operational needs for various teams within Legal

Minimum Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience with software or applications development

* Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: PHP, React, JavaScript, Python

* Experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL

* Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with operational teams to build custom solutions

* Experience using basic data analysis to troubleshoot production systems and diagnose problems

* Experience multitasking and working in an unstructured environment of fast growth and ambiguity
