Facebook Reality Labs is exploring the potential of virtual reality to bring people together in new ways. We are designing technologies that help people to create, share meaningful moments, and build communities using the unique qualities of these immersive new mediums. We aim to develop experiences that put people first, defining a future where virtual reality enables us to connect with the people and content we care about like never before. Were looking for a Product Management Director to lead the team of Product Managers developing Facebook Horizon. As a Product Management Director, you will manage a team building features designed to help customers enter and enjoy Horizons user created worlds and meet people to enjoy them with. Your team will build features that help Horizon creators realize their vision in Horizons creative tools, and that help consumers explore Horizon to discover new worlds and communities. The ideal candidate is an experienced Product leader with a background building consumer-facing experiences, two sided marketplaces of consumers and creators, tools for building online communities, and/or interactive social experiences in games or virtual reality.

Product Management Director, Horizon Responsibilities

* Manage a team of Product Managers and lead the ideation, technical development and launch of Horizon

* Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of Horizons features

* Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, designers, user researchers, and data scientists

* Integrate usability studies, data, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction

* Drive forward our understanding of how Virtual Reality can positively impact peoples lives

* Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

* Offer organizational design thinking to best structure the team and equip them for success in their goals

Minimum Qualifications

* 12+ years of experience in Product Management

* 12+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams

* 8+ years of management experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership

* Critical thinking and analytical leadership experience

* Product leadership in crafting emerging experiences

* Experience in platform and ecosystem products, as well as experience with marketplaces

* BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
