Global Document Control Manager

Job Description

The Infrastructure Construction Management (ICM) Project Controls team within Facebook is looking for a seasoned Document Control Manager to develop strategy, structure, tooling and organization around document and process control for the Data Center construction and leadership teams. In this highly cross functional role, the ideal candidate will work closely with construction teams, design teams, group leadership, communications teams and the Project Controls teams to influence the organizational approach to document control. The candidate will manage a team of document controls and tooling professionals, along with external vendors to ensure compliance with all document related policies.

Global Document Control Manager Responsibilities

* Drive the development and adoption of single-source-of-truth global internal and contractor standards (specifications) by providing vision and influencing org leadership.

* Oversee the maintenance of all procedure documentation and specifications, including version control, ensuring global consistency and adherence with organizational goals.

* Drive the development and ensure maintenance of an internal playbook that catalogs all internal business operations procedures, across the entire project life cycle from design through handover.

* Lead strategic initiatives which align multiple home-office and field cross-functional teams on document control and business information tools and best practices.

* Establish document control, storage, appropriate usage and archiving methodologies to ensure global consistency and compliance with business standards, both internally and externally.

* Develop and maintain tooling infrastructure to enable structured document access of project and general business information.

* Oversee the development of user and training manuals (playbook) for document control and ensure that sites and program teams are complying with instructions through audit checks.

* Oversee the maintenance, user provisioning, enhancements and access control for tooling used for various functions within ICM (collaborating with internal tooling teams).

* Develop and manage the implementation of a document retention and archival plan.

* Develop and manage implementation of a structured and consistent process to manage closeout documentations and Handover to Facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum of 7 years experience in design and construction document control or equivalent.

* Proven success implementing document control systems and influencing organizational approach to document controls.

* BA/BS in construction management, engineering, or equivalent.

* Experience with industry leading document control tooling platforms (Sharepoint, G-suite, Procore, eBuilder or others), including management of third party tooling vendors.
