The Office Technology Deployment Regional Lead Americas: Manages the Deployment Project Managers (DPMs) and their activities for the full cycle of programming, scheduling, procurement, and deployment of Enterprise Engineering Office Technology for builds of Facebook offices. This scope includes audio visual and video conferencing systems, printers, digital wayfinding, production events spaces, specialty demo spaces, labs and more. Responsibility includes project escalation leadership, risk identification and mitigation, planning assistance, execution improvement, project and process data integrity, financial responsibility, and post-project review. In addition, this role will have a primary focus on team skill development, career development, and performance management. As a key driver of success for the team, this person will work with OTD leadership to continuously improve existing workflows for efficiency and scale.
Office Technology Deployment (OTD) Regional Lead - Americas Responsibilities
* Leads the strategic design, procurement, deployment and commissioning of IT gear in Facebook office builds, including the verticals of: AV/VC, End-User IT (EUIT), Events, and Specialized IT Systems. Coordinates with the deployment engineers/SMEs of each of these verticals during each phase of the build process. Represents these elements to Facilities project meetings
* Proactively identifies and addresses areas for improvements, shares lessons learned, and best practices that can be applied across other projects
* Be first point of escalation on projects and provide on-site build out leadership as required
* Establish strong relationships with EE Ops Service owners (helpdesk, logistics, AV/VC, Event Operations, Corporate Networking) and cross-functional partners (Facilities, EE Security, Workplace Design, Network Engineering). Leverage relationships to provide support with issue resolution, roadblock removal, and performance feedback
* Perform service reviews for region with reports and cross-functional partners. Utilize data from service reviews to identify trends, opportunities for efficiencies, and gaps in service
* Anticipate future growth in region and advises on resource planning needs. Ensures DPM staffing is matched with project load. Hire and onboard as appropriate
* Management encompasses all facets of people management, including performance management and skills/career growth. Develop, coordinate and lead local and worldwide EE/OTD projects and initiatives
* Ability to travel within the US and internationally. Travel expected to be less than 20%
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience managing build projects, with experience managing construction or new office build
* 5+ years people management experience
* 3+ years Project Budget and Cost Management experience needed
* Business acumen and working knowledge of applications/business processes
* 3+ years hands-on experience in the space of IT technologies, AV/VC, and networking
* Dedicated and experienced in growing/scaling an IT organization, keeping pace with Facebooks explosive growth
