Job Description

This is a really critical role in the Facebook Data Center accounting team. This global role will support various supply chain solutions and enhancements covering billions of dollars in capex with a focus on rack and server component supply chain. Overall, the focus of this role will be to conduct accounting research, interpret accounting standards & apply to situations, prepare or review technical accounting memos, develop the accounting close processes and create system requirements, policies, and controls over rack and server supply chain business initiatives.

Supply Chain Accounting Manager, Foundation Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee global end-to-end supply chain accounting, controls, and related projects, with a particular focus on rack & server components and related Facebook data center initiatives.

* Proven trusted partner. Role will partner with internal supply chain management team, site operations team, internal accounting team, technical accounting, and systems team in order to support new business initiatives by understanding context, providing ideas and insights, partnering on creating processes that scale, and providing accounting guidance as needed.

* Ability to assess and translate business requirements into accounting guidance based on GAAP research as well as translate that guidance into an operational process.

* Research on accounting implications from changes in the subject areas, stay up to date on changes in industry trends and use them to inform internal decisions.

* Interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC guidance to determine accounting and financial reporting treatment and prepare or review technical accounting memorandums for significant transactions.

* As needed, develop and maintain processes around cost accounting methods. Provide detailed analysis for standard cost implementation for components/inventory as needed.

* Act as accounting system contact for tooling & system designs/enhancements that impact Supply Chain.

* Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

* 7+ years of financial statements auditing, cost accounting or financial accounting

* Experience analyzing large amounts of data, experience synthesizing into a readout for business and accounting management

* CPA

* Experience building and maintain relationships across multiple cross-functional teams. Proven track record of influencing business partners (at appropriate level) to effect changes

* Experience in optimizing or redesigning existing processes resulting from business needs

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion

* Big 4 audit experience

* Supply chain, Manufacturing, hardware industry and cost accounting experience
