Facebook is seeking a self-motivated Operations Program Manager (OPM) to join our Infrastructure Data Center (IDC) Business Operations Program Management team (BOPM) and work closely with our partners on the Facility Operations (FacOps) team. FacOps mission is to ensure the safe and continuous operations of the buildings and mechanical, electrical, and control systems infrastructure that support the global Facebook Data Center enterprise. This OPM will focus their support on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of business processes to support all aspects of the FacOps organization, starting with the Global Facilities Operations Support (GFOS) team. The scope of this role will expand to include development of the BOPM strategy for supporting the entire FacOps organization, including driving alignment with FacOps leadership and coordination of multiple BOPM team members support. Success in this role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a tendency for action. The selected candidate will be able to quickly build relationships, assess process and stakeholder pain points, and deliver robust and efficient solutions that scale across a diverse, global, and highly cross-functional organization.
Operations Program Manager - FacOps Responsibilities
* Provide business operations leadership and problem solving abilities to support the GFOS and larger FacOps teams.
* Facilitate and manage internal team and leadership meetings, communication strategies, and cross-functional projects.
* Drive excellence in the FacOps organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business.
* Utilize project management and communication skills to define scope requirements, analyze data, and develop strategic recommendations for program and operational execution.
* Develop and report metrics to measure the teams quality and productivity and provide meaningful feedback to deliver positive business and internal partnership outcomes.
* Continually refine the FacOps best practices for cross-functional program management consistent with Facebook, Infra, and IDCs culture and processes.
* Ability to travel approximately 15%.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Construction Management, or related field.
* 10+ years experience in a quantitative field such as consulting, strategic planning, business operations, or business analytics role.
* 5+ years experience in program management with a demonstrated track record of leadership in execution of large-scale programs.
* Demonstrated experience in quickly adapting, learning new skill sets and technologies, and creating a solid understanding of operational challenges.
* Experience in influencing strategy and effective communication with leadership.
* Hands-on experience solving problems by analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across stakeholders.
* Experience dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving problems with limited oversight.
* Proven background and interest in process improvement and gap analysis.
* Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or other advanced degree, Program Management, Agile, or Six Sigma certification(s).
* Data center or critical facility/operations experience.
* Strong track record in change management and implementing global programs.
