Job Title: Facility Technician Level II

Job Summary: Support facility operations as part of a team. Assist in all activities and duties. Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, dock levelers and other mechanical systems; performs incidental carpentry, masonry, painting, roof repairs and plasterwork. Winter months will perform snow removal and spreading salt. This position is M-F, 8am-4:30pm OR 9am-5:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Completes logs and performs other documentation necessary to the tasks performed, maintain, organize, control, inventory supplies, tools and equipment, performs incidental carpentry, masonry, painting and plasterwork.

* Assists with inspections and tours of the facilities, providing preventive maintenance services in accordance with a well-defined program; institutes corrective action on any deficiencies.

* Assists with performing emergency service and repairs on, mechanical and structural systems and equipment as necessary to satisfy service requests and to maintain the equipment as listed on the building equipment inventory in proper operating condition.

* Assists in maintaining and making repairs on utilities systems and equipment. Performs minor carpentry, masonry, and metalworking repairs, installation and maintenance activities.

* Assists entire team in all activities and duties assigned, installs or assists in installing and/or replacing various types of equipment, structures and subassemblies including lubrication and cleaning.

Qualifications:.

* The successful candidate will have 6+ years of experience in this or a related field. The candidate will be familiar with standard concepts of facility maintenance, procedures and practices. Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in manufacturing or facility maintenance is desirable.
* This position requires a drivers license.
* Fork Truck & Aerial Lift Certification recommended
* EPA 608 Universal or CFC Universal is preferred
* Performs incidental carpentry, masonry, painting and plaster work

* Successful candidate will be self motivated, require little supervision, be self directed, and possess time management skills.
* Knowledge of HVAC maintenance practices on roof top and split systems is helpful.
* Knowledge of NFPA standards for facilities is also a plus, but not required.
* Performs incidental carpentry, masonry, painting and plaster work
* Basic Mechanical Aptitude and understanding of plumbing repairs
* Minor electrical repairs - changing light bulbs and ballasts
* Successful candidate will be self motivated, require little supervision, be self directed, and possess time management skills.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using who numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

The associate frequently is required to climb or balance. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
