Our DuPont Bayport site located in Pasadena, Texas, roughly 15 miles Southeast of Houston, has an exciting opportunity for Operator Mechanic to join our team! If you are mechanically or electrically inclined, then this is the perfect opportunity to start a career with a growing company!

The Bayport site has been in operation since 1987 produces Kapton films that are used in high end electronics and other products. Operators work a rotating shift schedule known as the DuPont shift schedule, throughout the year.

DuPont Bayport is a team based organization utilizing a high-performance work system. The work teams are self-managed, with focus provided by the Production Supervisor. These teams, in collaboration with and supported by management and the balance of the organization, operate with high levels of autonomy and responsibility to achieve specific goals as defined by the business plans.

* Monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
* Maintains safety standards at all times
* Initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
* Performs maintenance repair and upkeep on area equipment.
* Performs advanced maintenance activities, as qualified.

Job Qualification

Your qualifications profile:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

* High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience in an instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, millwright, or journeyman related role OR a recent graduate with an Associate's Degree or higher in a mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, or related field
* Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift
* Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required
* Knowledge and experience with computer systems
* Willing and able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs
* Willing and able to regularly climb stairs
* Willing and able to wear a respirator
