JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES *
Performs a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains, and replaces electronic programmable controllers for the use in the manufacture of aluminum beverage packaging.
1. Troubleshoots problems in programmable controllers. Replaces inoperable sections of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller).
2. Installs, maintains, or repairs equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.
3. Locates and diagnosis trouble in electrical systems or equipment working from blue prints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
4. Works standard computations related to load requirements of wiring/and or electrical equipment.
5. Uses a variety of electricians tools including measuring and testing instruments.
6. Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
7. Keeps Production Supervisor/Manager informed of operational status of equipment.
8. Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.
9. Performs other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS *
* High School diploma or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of electrical code.
* Formal PLC training preferred.
* 5 or more years of industrial electrical experience
* 1 year of PLC experience.
* Must be able to read blueprints.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. This position also requires manual dexterity/fine motor skills.
Ability to work a twelve (12) hour shift, frequent overtime may also be required.
