This is a leadership position in the Emergency Department that will oversee the shift operations and throughput of the department, as well as ensure quality patient care. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, emotional intelligence, customer service skills, and the ability to communicate at multiple levels with both internal and external customers.

- Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area (Reports to Department Director)
- Responsible for compliance with standards during assigned shift (Reports to House Supervisor)
- Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shift
- Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources
3 years experience in applicable specialty area preferred. Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Previous supervisory experience. Two or more years experience in desired specialty . Specialty certification recognized by the American. Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in the applicable area of practice
