Engineering Technician, Senior
Key Role:
Apply technical expertise and industry knowledge in the testing, evaluation, and operation of DoD weapon systems. Serve as a range safety functional expert in the planning and operation of test events. Provide oversight in ensuring range safety and operations protocols are followed. Assist with the risk assessment and development of safety assessment reports and standard operating procedures for test events. Provide electrical engineering technician support for cable design, cable fabrication, system assembly, and board design. Work with minimal supervision and mentor junior team members. This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of time.
Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with leading range operations
-Experience with installation and maintenance of electrical and communications devices
-Knowledge of range safety procedures and protocols
-Ability to travel up to 50% of time required
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with the operation of DoD weapon systems and equipment
-Ability to work in a complex team environment
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
