Job Description Summary
As directed by the Quality Systems Manager, the Data Analyst - Quality is responsible for supporting the development and implementation the Medical Management Solutions (MMS) Quality Systems metric reporting that provides information on the MMS dashboards, scorecards utilized to regularly report on Management Controls QMS status across the segments sites.
This position actively collaborates with the Quality Systems Engineer, other local departments and with Quality personnel from the other MMS site teams in the support of MMS Segment and site metric reporting using various tools for data collection and reporting. Reporting to include interactive dashboards, meeting report-outs (i.e., Management Reviews) and ad-hoc requests for data reports.
This role has a key objective of providing methods for timely data collection and storage and accurate metrics that address potential and existing Quality and regulatory issues which will contribute to effective quality management systems that are consistent between MMS sites and compliant to corporate policies and procedures
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the MMS Quality System procedures, processes, and documentation by:
* Support the MMS BU Management Review meeting by collecting site metric data, and supporting information and assembling the information into the presentation to be reviewed by MMS Leadership
* Support and coordinate Site (San Diego) Management Review meetings; support MMS Site Management review meetings; data collection, metric charts and detail information
* Develop and maintain a system for MMS site-wide data collection for QMS metrics. The system/repository (typically MS SharePoint) will provide the raw data for accurate QMS metrics to be displayed in scorecards and interactive dashboards.
* Identify and automate data collection from existing QMS applications, where available, to eliminate the need for manual data entry and ensure data integrity
* Create and release automated and interactive dashboards using available tools (i.e., Qlik, Power BI) that are available across the MMS BU sites. Dashboards may be available and used for daily trend monitoring, and also for providing scorecards and charts for various quality review meetings
* Release required procedures and a validation reports for the data collection processes and dashboards.
* Represent the MMS segment on corporate KPI & Metric data coordination and collection; provide feedback and support for site-wide metric reporting initiatives (dashboards, scorecards and heat maps)
* Support QMS processes & procedures at all MMS Sites working with persons responsible to amend / improve procedures, processes and work instructions and ensuring compliance to Corporate and MMS objectives
* Addressing actions from regulatory and customer audits that concern the quality system.
* Interfaces with BD manufacturing plants and other business functions to ensure complete, consistent, and timely implementation of process improvements and collection of quality system metrics
Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree required
* Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Quality Metrics and data acquisition for medical device manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of Quality Metrics
* Experience using either QlikView, Power BI or MS SharePoint desireable
* Experience using MS Access (& VBA), Visio, SharePoint (Power Apps or Power Automate), SQL server a plus
* Extensive knowledge of the MS Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry standards (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485)
* Good technical writing and communication skills
