Become an Air & Climate Policy Advisor Transportation/Building Electrification at Southern California Edison in the Energy and Environmental (E&EP) Policy group within Southern California Edison (SCE)s Strategy and Regulatory Affairs organization. In this job, you will develop air quality and climate change policy positions with a focus on transportation and building electrification. You will lead cross-functional project teams on air and climate regulatory policy. As an Air & Climate Policy Advisor, you will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. * Develop and advocate for air quality and climate change policies, including the role of transportation and building electrification. Coordinate regulatory policy development with other regulatory policy groups, organizational unit management teams and subject-matter experts.
* Perform regulatory case management on proceedings. Develop regulatory documents such as Applications, Advice Letters, Testimony, Comments, ensuring the company's position is reflected accurately. Manage timely responses to discovery requests. Analyze and communicate regulatory rulings, proposed and final decisions, and draft and final resolutions.
* Communicate with all levels of the organizations regarding relevant regulations and legislation. Proactively engage with senior and executive management as well as external stakeholders including regulators and staff at various environmental agencies to advance SCEs positions.
* Prepare witnesses and provide support for evidentiary hearings. May represent SCE in proceedings with various regulatory agencies, other utilities, industry organizations, interveners, customers, and other departments and/or parties.
* Provide regulatory project management leadership for cross-functional teams of operational, strategy, regulatory, legal, and finance experts. Coordinate to address strategic issues, policy development, and issue resolution with other organizational units, management, and SMEs to achieve consistency on positions across the company.
* Execute project management tasks, including planning, prioritizing, and scheduling work activities.
* Promote the Companys safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications
The essentials

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, Environmental Policy, or related field.
* Seven years of combined experience in project management, cross-functional coordination, energy markets, environmental sustainability and/or energy-related regulatory policy.

The preferred

* Graduate degree in Engineering, Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, Environmental Policy, Sustainability or related field, or a Law Degree.
* Experience advocating or analyzing regulations, public policy development, strategic analysis, regulatory case management, project management, organizational programs, or contract management.
* Experience with air quality, climate change, alternative fuels, environmental or electrification policy.
* Experience developing regulatory documents such as Applications, Advice Letters, Direct and Rebuttal Testimony, and Comments.
* Experience leading cross functional project teams.
* Electric utility industry experience.
* Experience with of state and federal regulatory and/or legislative functions and processes.
* Experience developing and delivering presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
* Customer-focused to understand and respond appropriately to clients' business needs.
* Experience as an excellent communicator both written and oral.
