Responsibilities and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

* An understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Knowledge of general ledger accounting
* A general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently and minimal direction and to meet deadlines
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
* Ability to locate data in a computer database for the purpose of reconciling accounts, researching and resolving inquiries
* Must be able to service several of our store locations in the DFW area

Daily Responsibilities

- Responsibilities will be discuss dependent upon position of interest during an interview, but may include the following:

* Processing of invoices
* Fixed asset accounting
* Accounts reconciliation according to accounting cycles
* Collaborates with internal and external auditors, as required, in their research of records
* Reviews accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
* Distributes day-to-day work assignments to staff
* Performs quality control review as needed in the department
* Ensuring end of month procedures are completed in a timely manner
* Other tasks as assigned

Education and Experience

* Accounting degree or at least 3 years of experience in dealership accounting
* Detail oriented and excellent time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Microsoft offices knowledge, particularly Excel
* Level of experience may vary depending upon role
