Sr Manager, Warehouse Operations

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Implement personnel on-boarding, training, and service improvement activities, ensuring systems, methodologies, and procedures are in place and followed by each service team
* Delivers performance evaluations for direct reports and oversees performance evaluations for entire organization
* Implements processes that support corporate policies and procedures
* Delivers warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends
* Maintain warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
* Teams with Business Systems Analyst team and ERP Development departments on development of warehouse operations systems, determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
* Reviews warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment
* Coordinates warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes
* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and corporate EH&S policies
* Designs, implements, monitors and provides timely KPI reports through Daily Management, GEMBA, +QDIP and weekly update meetings
* Leads the collaborative, dynamic planning process prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
* Teams with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years):

* Bachelors degree with 8+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations and Leadership

Knowledge and skills:

* Proven track record of process improvement, warehouse transformations, operation optimizations, implementing and leading improvements in project lifecycle.
* Strong analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
* Highly adaptable with the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent work streams.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to provide operational, technical and financial oversight.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, lead, develop, direct and position people to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical requirements/abilities:

* May be asked to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* APICS certification a plus
* Lean/Six-Sigma Certification a plus
* Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance experience
* Experience with SAP MM, WM, S&D, HANA4
