Wells Fargo is seeking a Java Software Sr. Engineer who will play a key role in driving Enrollments initiatives to address the needs of multiple lines of businesses utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable full stack technologies. This position requires collaboration with various technology teams, partnering with Business users and downstream application teams.
The candidate will take previous hands-on experience in application development and maintenance, technology strategy and deliver innovative, yet practical solutions to the organization. The person must exhibit the ability to communicate ideas to all levels of the organization and must be capable of mentoring and overseeing junior developers. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply core development principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications.
The ideal candidate will
* Act as a lead developer and provide application design, guidance, and consultation utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology tools and existing designs
* Provide coding direction to less experienced staff and develops highly complex original code
* Analyze highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications
* Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs
* Oversee overall systems testing including ET, SIT, and UAT etc.
* Provide support during off-hours/weekend during production deployment and UAT
Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of software engineering experience
* 5+ years of Java experience
* 4+ years of application production support experience
* 4+ years of relational database experience
* 1+ years of experience leading multiple projects
Desired Qualifications
* An industry-standard technology certification
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* 1+ year of experience with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
* Knowledge and understanding of business requirements analysis and writing of technical specifications
* User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience
* Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): code control, build and deployment
* Knowledge and understanding of technical leadership including large, visible, cross group projects across multiple technologies
* Agile experience
