Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The Role
The Fraud Risk Oversight Team is a risk type team comprised of subject matter experts in specific fraud typologies and program execution teams that drive overall execution of the Fraud and Identity Theft Prevention Programs. This includes maintaining the Fraud Risk Management and Identity Theft Prevention Program policies, providing challenge to the business on the implementation of the policies, and supporting the key program components. This role will serve as a subject matter expert regarding deposit fraud (including debit card), partnering with the Fraud Program Execution teams to provide insight and expertise for deposit fraud related topics across oversight routines. Key functions include maintaining program documentation, processes, and procedures; creating and maintaining oversight of testing and validation processes associated with fraud and identity theft, creating and maintaining oversight of fraud training and communication plans; executing oversight of key risk assessments and measurement programs, including review of new business initiatives, and creation of metrics and key indicators to measure and monitor deposit fraud risk.

Responsibilities include:

* Provide deposit fraud specific expertise across program oversight processes, including effectiveness of fraud strategies, tools and controls with focus on deposit fraud typologies and trends in deposit fraud across LOBs.
* Integrate with current team oversight processes through engagement across program oversight processes, including new business initiatives, issues management, metric development, model risk management, detection strategy assessments and independent risk assessments to bring deposit fraud expertise to these activities
* Develop strong working relationships with senior leaders within the deposit fraud space including both business and risk stakeholders within the fraud ecosystem across business groups
* Develop and maintain industry partners/network to benchmark processes and trends
* Provide operational risk credible challenge across business groups to applicable fraud risk management processes
* Review the findings of internal audits and regulatory exams related to enterprise fraud risk oversight. Lead Fraud IRM oversight action plans to address deficiencies or recommendations associated with deposit fraud risk, and coordinate with team to communicate with internal audit or regulators.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management

* Fraud and Identity Theft Program experience and expertise
* Deposit fraud expertise in fraud prevention/detection, investigations, management, monitoring or oversight of the risk
* Experience and subject matter expertise in fraud, financial crimes, or information security in a front line, second line or audit related role
* Subject matter expertise in fraud typologies, fraud losses and drivers, industry fraud measurement metrics, industry fraud detection systems/process, fraud regulatory requirements/guidance and fraud controls with specific focus on deposit fraud
* Knowledge of SHRP and other risk systems
* Strong leadership experience
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Ability to apply critical thinking in describing multiple risks into a single risk landscape
* Ability to develop and manage business relationships
* Strong project management skills
* Certified Fraud Examiner designation and fraud industry involvement
