This position will be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift Manufacturing Front Line Leader (FLL) and will be responsible for the training, coaching and team strengthening of assigned employees. The FLL works in an established matrix environment supporting multiple Value Stream Leaders (VSLs), and is responsible for the performance and productivity of the employees within their assigned product team.
This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Development of a flexible and cross-trained team with daily performance that includes implementation to MRP, Takt time, daily goals and identification of POEM issues
Responsible for the overseeing of Tiered Accountability (Levels 1 & 2) and Total Employee Engagement (TEE) initiatives within the area of responsibility
Monitor safety performance of the team and insure proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available and being used appropriately, and insure proper resources are available
Coordinate PTO and overtime
Coordinate activities with support resources to include Engineering and Quality
Meet schedule commitments while keeping team motivated and attentive
Utilize proper corrective actions, discipline and rewards and recognition consistent with policy
Thorough understanding of Company policies and procedures, and the proper use of discretion in the application of these elements
Promote Diversity and Wellness programs
Committed to process improvement and supportive of business initiatives including Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
Approve labor charging and correct inaccuracies as required
Identify opportunities to develop employee skills and insure the proper coordination with the appropriate functions to make sure this occurs
Attend and participate in department meetings - lead daily Tier meetings
Maintain and guide a 6S work area
Understand and communicate Quality/Cost/Schedule metrics
Maintain physical security of classified documents, hardware and software and ensure employees, customers and visitors have proper clearance and that badges are properly displayed

Required Skills: This team member will have 2+ years leadership experience with excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. Must have broad knowledge of manufacturing planning/scheduling, and lean manufacturing concepts. Knowledge of general manufacturing processes including assembly and test operations and experience with coaching and mentoring others.

Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
