Job Description:

This position will support the Ultra Precision Machining Center within the Tucson, Arizona Manufacturing Facility and will be responsible for process development, continuous improvement, and the creation of CNC machine programs.

* Create and optimize multi-axis CNC machining programs
* Develop tooling and fixture concepts to satisfy technical data package requirements
* Support the manufacturing floor, troubleshoot and improve upon existing manufacturing processes
* Support new product introduction and development
* Generate tooling concepts and cycle time estimates for bidding purposes

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Basic Qualifications:

* 4+ years of directly related experience with CNC programming
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of CAD/CAM software
* U.S. Citizenship is required

Required Education:

* BSME, BSIE, or equivalent technical degree or eight (8) years of related experience can be considered in lieu of degree completion.

Desired Qualifications:

* Demonstrated experience with Creo CAD Software
* Demonstrated experience with MasterCAM CAM Software.
* Experience creating, documenting and verifying elements of a Manufacturing Data Package
* 5-axis programming experience
* Demonstrated experience working with automated manufacturing cells
* Knowledge of military and industry standards and specifications
* Experience using SAP shop floor production software
* Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing
* Ability to identify pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, CNC machine/tool capabilities and communicate alternative options with stakeholders
* Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to develop tool and fixture concepts related to CNC machining
* Ability to work long hours standing and working in a factory environment
* Ability to setup and operate production CNC machines in support of manufacturing process development and prove-in
* Ability to properly apply standard and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
