Job Description
The COGS and Productivity Analyst is responsible for leading the financial planning from a COGS perspective, working closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Quality to mitigate risks for inventory, yield, and write-offs. This role is critical in understanding key drivers impacting COGS and communicating this up to Support Center. This role will also co-lead with the Controller the quarterly cycle counts and annual inventory audit to ensure compliance and financial guardianship of assets. Additionally, this role is critical in partnering with the production team to vet productivity savings to ensure targets are met.
* Partner with Supply Chain for the site and three DCs to mitigate risks for excess and obsolescence, financial analysis is completed and the decision-making process is timely with a business focus
* Understand and articulate all COGS drivers and communicate timely to Support Center
* Investigate yield and usage variance and making recommendations as needed
* Participate in period close ensuring all work orders are closed and variances explained
* Partner with Engineering team to track capital projects, forecast cash flow and closeout projects as needed ensuring cash flow targets are met
* Partner with Productivity team to provide updates on financial progress, work with key stakeholders to vet saving in support of productivity initiatives
* Partner with Controls team to lead inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory to ensure compliance and safeguard assets
Qualifications/Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in a forecasting and planning experience
* Strong communication skills within all levels of the organization
* Experienced at analyzing and distilling large amounts of data into meaningful and presentable content to support decision making
* Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem solve quickly in a changing and dynamic environment
* Ability to collaborate and influence others
* Microsoft Business applications, SAP/ BPC Experience a must
* Accounting or Finance undergraduate degree
* Manufacturing experience a plus
* Cost accounting a plus
