Ocala Health encompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center, a 256-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital, a 174-bed hospital located in west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency department located in southern Marion County, and Maricamp ER, a freestanding emergency department located on Maricamp Road in Ocala. Ocala Regional Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospitals offer a host of other quality and award winning services including orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services including open heart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological and rehabilitation services, and bariatric surgery. Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County. Ocala Healths outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary care network of six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centers; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior Wellness Community Center; and three surgical and physician specialty practices.

Position Summary:

Performs those duties directly involved with the completion of all requested procedures of the CT Department with regards to Quality and Quantity, providing services to all inpatients and outpatients of all age groups. Supervises employee's duties and their work process daily. Suggest and implements process improvement techniques for departmental benefit. Responsible for ensuring all supplies and equipment functioning for departmental operations. Responsible for staff scheduling and departmental coverage. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Utilizes problem solving skills to benefit department and as well as to assist other areas of Radiology. Responsible for building and maintaining protocols to ensure proper diagnostic imaging as directed by Radiologists. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining ACR accreditation at both hospitals within Ocala Health. Responsible for training new technologists in a manner which they become proficient in necessary scanning techniques and job specific duties. Performs in the capacity of staff technologist when necessary.

Under administrative direction of the Chief Technologist, Director of Radiology and the Radiologist, performs administrative and consultative duties within the CT Scan Department. Overseas Dose Watch and other Radiation safety processes to report to RSO. Is responsible for directing departmental activity and technologist staff and supporting ancillary personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or the Free Standing Emergency Department.

Qualifications

Vocational or 2 Year Associates Degree required

BLS

Registered CT Tech

Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

State Reg Radiologic

3 - 5 years of imaging leadership experience required.

4 year Bachelor Degree preferred

5 + years of imaging leadership experience preferred
